I would absolutely recommend surgery by Mr Awad and his team. I felt comfortable from the very start. Mr Awad took time to explain everything about the surgery months before I even committed. I paid and was having my operation in August 2018. Due to a condition I was unable to go through with it in August. I was worried about losing my money I had paid. But I had reassurance from tonic that I could delay or cancel without losing much at all. I hadn’t counselling and lots of people contacted me prior to the operation. Dieticians. psychotherapist. Aftercare team. Physio. After I got the all clear I booked up for 20th December I live in Devon and had a chauffeur service from Tonic to door to the hospital and back. Excellent drivers too. I arrived at 6am taken to my own room on a private wing of the hospital. Where I had a pre assessment.

Nick the anaesthetist reassured me as I was panicking a little. I then was taken to the theatre and next thing I’m waking up in my room. Mr Awad rang my husband personally which was nice. The nurses were very attentive and so caring. Medication was regular so not much pain at all. I stayed in just the one night. Mr Awad and nick both came to see me before I got to go home. This has been a life saver to me not just for losing the weight I have tried to over the past 15/20 years but my health I have noticed already. For 27 years I have had to pass water approx 15 x a night. Within a week I now get up approx twice. I have lost 10lb in three weeks and for once I am not hungry. I just like to thank Mr Awad for taking me on as a patient and helping me changing my life for the better.
